"Professor Arnab Laha has joined the Institute as Visiting Assistant Professor in the P & QM Area. He has Ph.D. from the Indian Statistical Institute. Prior to this, he obtained the M.Stat. degree from the same institute. Before joining lIMA, he taught at the National Institute of Management, Calcutta now Army Institute of Management, Kolkata and also taught at lIMA as visiting faculty.
Prof. Laha has wide ranging interest in statistics and its applications to various disciplines. Some of his areas of current research interest are Statistical Quality Control, Change Point Problems, Outlier Problems, Analysis of Directional Data, Analysis of Rank Data, Simulation, etc. He has worked with several reputed organizations as a statistical consultant. He has published papers in national and international journals. He is a member of the Indian Science Congress Association, Operations Research Society of India, Indian Association for Productivity, Quality and Reliability and the Indian Statistical Institute."
